The Stratos 5 Disc clutch disc has an oblique exhaust which allows the clutch to drain the oil more quickly compared to an original clutch or radial exhausts. Rapid oil draining creates a higher performing clutch in terms of torque and power that can be managed.
A 1.2 mm steel disc is also supplied in the clutch kit. This disc is thinner than the original (1.5 mm) in order not to alter the clutch stroke by making it work in the same original sliding range.
The Stratos 5 Disc clutch can only be used with:
- Stratos lightened sprocket or equivalent for 5-disc clutch (no original sprocket)
- Stratos bell or equivalent for 5-plate clutch (no original sprocket)
With the Stratos 5-disc clutch, the discharge, being oblique, creates depression only by turning, keeping the disc clean of oil much faster than with traditional discs with straight discharge.
